MotoXcycle MXC 5" Round Aluminum Oil Tank for 2000 and up Harley-Davidson Softails with battery box

MotoXcycle MXC 5" Round Aluminum Oil Tank with convex smooth sides for 2000 and up Harley-Davidson Softails. Comes with battery box. 12.25" wide.  Bungs (inlet/outlet group) are 1/4NPT. Fill neck accepts oil caps with 1999 and under Harley-Davidson Softail specifications.  Black Powder coated tank available as well.

This beautiful hand crafted 5” round aircraft aluminum oil tank features custom CNC machined side plates and a battery box.  

Technical specifications:
Tank width: 12.25"

Tank diameter: 5"

Inlet/Outlet group location:  35 degrees up from lowest point.  When the tank is installed on the bike, starting from the throttle side the bung sequence is Feed, Vent, Return.  The Drain bung is at 0 degrees and is the bung closest to the rear of the bike. All inlet/outlets (bungs) are machined to accept 1/4NPT fittings. Return bung has an internal line that brings the oil to the far left of the tank to give the oil time to mix before returning to the feed bung. The feed bung is internally raised to prevent contaminants from entering into the oil delivery system. The vent bung has an internal line that provides venting close to the internal ceiling of the tank. The drain bung found towards the rear of the inlet/outlet group and at the very bottom of the tank is internally tapered to ensure all of the oil and any residue can be completely drained from the oil tank. 

Front mount:  Machined for 5/16-24NC hardware.

Rear mount: Standard rear oil tank mount specifications for Harley-Davidson Softail 2000 and up.

Oil filler neck:  Inner diameter is 1.25", designed to accept stock Harley-Davidson oil caps from Softails 1999 and under.

Oil capacity: 3.125 quarts/ 2.96 liters

Battery box internal measurements are 7 3/8” wide by 4” long.

Oil tank material:  6061-T6 Aerospace aluminum.
