MotoXcycle MXC 5" Round Aluminum Oil Tank with Spin On Filter Compartment and Battery Box for Harley-Davidson Softail 1999 and under.

This MotoXcycle MXC 5 inch round oil tank is 12.25 inches wide and comes with a recessed spin on oil filter compartment and a battery box. 

Internal battery box dimensions are 7.5"wide X 4"deep X 5" high.

We developed it for stock 1999 and under Harley-Davidson Softail motorcycles. A version for 2000 and up Harley-Davidson Softails is available as well. 

Bungs are all 1/4 NPT, oil filler neck fits push in oil caps from 1999 and under stock Harley-Davidson softails. 

Made with 1/8" thick 6061 T-6 aluminum tubing.

This beautiful hand crafted 5” round aircraft aluminum oil tank features a compartment to accept a spin-on oil filter and a battery box.

Inlet/Outlet group location:  35 degrees up from lowest point.  When the tank is installed on the bike, starting from the throttle side the bung sequence is Feed, Vent, Return.  The Drain bung is at 0 degrees and is the bung closest to the rear of the bike. All inlet/outlets (bungs) are machined to accept 1/4NPT fittings. Return bung has an internal line that brings the oil to the oil filter.  The feed bung is internally raised to prevent contaminants from entering into the oil delivery system. The vent bung has an internal line that provides venting close to the internal ceiling of the tank. The drain bung found towards the rear of the inlet/outlet group and at the very bottom of the tank is internally tapered to ensure all of the oil and any residue can be completely drained from the oil tank. 

Front mount:  Machined for 5/16-18NC hardware.

Rear mount: Accepts standard rear oil tank mount for Harley-Davidson Softail 1999 and under.

Oil filler neck:  Inner diameter is 1.25", designed to accept stock Harley-Davidson oil caps from Softails 1999 and under.

Oil capacity: 3.125 quarts/ 2.96 liters

Battery box internal measurements are 7 3/8” wide by 4” long.

Oil tank material:  6061-T6 Aerospace aluminum.
